Winemaker Tasting and Food Pairing
with Rosemont Vineyards Winemaker Justin Rose

$10 per person
Join Justin for a guided tasting of eight Rosemont of Virginia wines without traveling to LaCrosse (that's close to the North Carolina border). Each wine will also be paired with a small bite of food that that has been hand chosen to match perfectly. All Rosemont wines will be available for purchase at a discount of 15% and 20% off for cases!
About Rosemont of Virginia Winery
Rosemont Vineyards and Winery is a family-owned and operated establishment located on the 450 acre Rosemont Estate in LaCrosse, Virginia. The estate has been in the Rose Family since 1858 and over generations the farming operations have included vegetable farming, a peach orchard, beef cattle, dairy farming and various commodity crops. In 2003, 22 acres of grapes were planted. In 2007 the first in-house vintage was produced and by the fall of 2008, the doors of Rosemont of Virginia Winery were opened. Today, Rosemont offers a full complement of quality, award winning, wines ranging from classic red Bordeaux style wines to light sweet wines.

Learn the complexities of pairing wine with artisan chocolate from Rob Kingsbury, owner/chocolatier of Artfully Chocolate (Del Ray, VA and Washington, DC). The event will provide an opportunity to become knowledgeable about fine chocolate and fine wine and what to look for in pairing the two. It includes a guided tasting of five wines, one beer and artisan chocolate bars and truffles from Artfully Chocolate.

Join Virginia wine legend and native Italian, Gabriele Rausse, winemaker Chris Briener (Stone Mountain Vineyards), and Italian wine importer, Mo Fileppo, for a tour of Italy - one varietal at a time. Sample native Italian wine varietals that are grown and produced in Virginia...then sample the same varietals produced in Italy by Italian vinters. You'll taste 9 wines in all, which will all be available for purchase at discounted prices. This will be an informative and entertaining comparative tasting of Italian and Virginia wines.
